How to Use ChatGPT To Create Marketing Content Faster and Better

Creating quality Marketing Content Faster and Better can make sick some time.

You’ve got a big marketing campaign due, and the clock is ticking. The blank page stares back at you, mocking your creative block.

That’s exactly where I was a few years ago. Deadlines were piling up, my energy was low, and inspiration was nowhere to be found.

That’s when I heard about ChatGPT, released by OpenAI in November 2022.

At first I didn’t know how to make the best use of ChatGPT. because it is all about giving the good input to get the great output!

but fast forward, I have learned a lot throughout the years by putting in work. and it has completely changed the way I create marketing content.

for you to be reading this article might be making the same mistakes that were made back then.

In today’s story, I am going to show you

    • how ChatGPT can help you speed up your content creation process, improve quality,
    • and make the whole experience a lot more enjoyable.

    and let’s dive in together!

Step 1: Get Clear on Your Content Goals

Before you even open ChatGPT, think about what you need.

    Ask yourself:

    • Who is my audience?
    • What problem am I solving for them?
    • What action do I want them to take?

    For example,

When I was creating a blog post about a new product launch, my goal was to educate my audience and get them excited enough to sign up for a free trial.

With that clarity in mind, I was ready to chat with ChatGPT.

    Prompt Example:

“Write a blog introduction for a product launch targeting small business owners. The product is a time management app that simplifies scheduling. Make it friendly and inspiring.”

Step 2: Brainstorm Ideas and Outlines

If you ever feel stuck trying to come up with fresh ideas

ChatGPT is like that brainstorming buddy who always has something to say.

I’ll often ask it to generate a list of blog topics, email subject lines, or even social media post ideas.

When I needed to promote a webinar, I had no idea what hook to use.

I asked ChatGPT to suggest email subject lines, and one of them is

“Unlock the Secrets to Time Management” and it performed better than I expected.

    Prompt Example:

“Generate 10 catchy email subject lines for a webinar about productivity tips for remote teams.”

    Step 3: Write Drafts Quickly

    Here’s where ChatGPT shines.

It can whip up a first draft in minutes.

    Whether it’s a

    • blog post,
    • ad copy,
    • or a video script,

I’ll start with a clear prompt and let ChatGPT do the heavy lifting.

    Here is My Trick:

I always add specific instructions to my prompts.

Instead of saying, “Write a blog post about marketing,”

I’ll say, “Write a 500-word blog post about using social media trends to grow your audience. Include practical tips and examples.”

Once ChatGPT generates the draft, I edit it to match my tone and brand voice.

Step 4: Refine and Optimize Your Content

AI is amazing, but it’s not perfect.

    After ChatGPT provides a draft,

    I like to:

    1. Polish the tone: Make it sound more like me.
    2. Add personal touches: Include stories, humor, or anecdotes.
    3. Optimize for SEO: If it’s for a blog, I’ll tweak it with keywords and meta descriptions.

For a recent product review blog,

ChatGPT gave me a great structure, but I wanted it to feel more personal.

So, I added my own experience using the product, which made it much more relatable.

    Prompt Example:

“Edit this paragraph to make it sound conversational and friendly: [insert text].”

Step 5: Repurpose Content Across Platforms

One of my favorite ChatGPT tricks is repurposing.

I’ll take a blog post and turn it into multiple pieces of content:

    • To create LinkedIn updates or Instagram captions.
    • Summarize the key points into an email.
    • Convert the content into a script for a quick video.

    Prompt Example:

“Summarize this 500-word blog post into a 100-word LinkedIn post with hashtags.”

    Step 6: Overcome Creative Blocks

There are days when I just can’t find the right words.

ChatGPT helps me break through that barrier.

Sometimes, I’ll ask it to rephrase something I’ve written.

or I’ll use it to brainstorm catchy headlines or taglines.

While working on a tagline for a client’s campaign,

I felt stuck. I typed into ChatGPT,

“Suggest 10 creative taglines for a sustainable clothing brand,” and it nailed the perfect one: “Wear the Change.” My client loved it!

    Prompt Example:

“Rephrase this sentence to make it more engaging: [insert text].”

Step 7: Learn and Improve as You Go

    The more you use ChatGPT,

the better you’ll get at crafting prompts that deliver exactly what you need.

You can also learn from channels like YouTube.

It took me a few years to understand how to use ChatGPT perfectly and create high-quality marketing content.

and if you want to skip the learning edge and save yourself something by getting started faster

I’ve compiled my best ChatGPT prompts into an easy-to-follow eBook: ChatGPT Marketing Content Prompts.
